We are excited to announce the awards for the 2026 Florida Democratic Party Outreach Grant Program. The full $395,000 has been awarded — every dollar the Central Committee committed in March is going back out to the DECs, caucuses, and organizations doing the work in communities across Florida.
The response to this program was extraordinary. We received 233 applications from county DECs, FDP caucuses, and Democratic-aligned organizations in every region of the state. In total, we funded 94 programs.
DEC Grants — $65,000 to active county Democratic Executive Committees for local organizing, voter engagement, and turnout programs.
DEC-Less County Grants — $20,000 for organizing, voter engagement, and party-building efforts in counties without an active DEC.
Constituency Outreach Grants — $310,000 for programs engaging and mobilizing Black, Hispanic, Caribbean, Youth, Faith, AAPI, and LGBTQ+ voters.
Party Affairs will be reaching out to awardees with additional details regarding their individual awards.
These grants fund voter registration drives, vote-by-mail enrollment, texting and canvassing programs, Souls to the Polls, community events, and constituency media — all of it designed and run by the people who know their own neighborhoods best.
To everyone who applied: thank you. Every application represented real hours of thinking about how to reach voters in your community, and the quality and ambition of what came in exceeded what we imagined when this program launched in August.
This was a competitive process, and demand ran far beyond the funding available, which means many strong programs could not be funded. If yours was one of them, please know that it was not a reflection of the work you put in — hold onto that plan, and stay in touch with us about future opportunities to put it into action.
Every application was reviewed and scored independently by a sub-committee of the FDP Budget & Finance Committee, ranked within its funding pool, and awarded from the highest-scoring applications down until the funding in that pool was exhausted.
